Fruits and agricultural products are packed with agents absorbing water and CO2 to prevent deterioration during storage and transport. Thus, 4 kg tomatoes and a bag contg. 30 g each of zeolite, bentonite, active carbon, active bentonite, active alumina were packed in a box which was sealed with polyethylene film. The boy was kept at 20oC for 14 days. The spoilage appeared under control, wheareas that of treated tomatoes is not.
