Brake cylinder tube securing equipment - has expander component between nut and housing

The equipment secures the mounting tube of a brake cylinder to the actuating mechanism housing so that it cannot turn; it is esp. for an expanding cylinder operating with wedging action. The tube screws into the housing by means of an external thread formed at one of its ends, while a locknut on this thread is tightened against the housing. An expander component (11) is fitted between the nut (7) and the end of the housing towards it, typically in the form of a 'V'-section strip whose arms press against nut and housing.
