PURPOSE:To simplify electrical control, to reduce consumption of power, to make the size extremely small, to decrease noises by a method wherein a nozzle cap is fixed in order to prevent head ink from drying and the end of printing is detected by special operations of this cap to stop the motor. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 17 is connected to an ink-on-demand type ink jet head 14 and the tank 17 is fixed to a holder 16. A slider 15, the holder 16 are fixed to a shaft and as the slider 15 is followed by the holder 16 it slides on the shaft 22. The rotation of the motor 9 is transmited to a body 12 of rotation through gears 10, 11 and the rotation is changed by a transmitting means 13 into reciprocating motion and transmitted to the holder 16. The printer head 14 moves in the direction of the arrow, removes dust etc. and stops on a nozzle cap 30. Evaporation of ink etc. is prevented by the cap 30. When the motor 9 is stopped, signals from the timing detection means are not detected and application of electric current to the motor 9 is stopped. |
