PURPOSE:To permit image formation of a part of an original at a gradation characteristic different from the gradation characteristic of the other part by forming the image erased of the inner image at one gradation characteristic to a material to be transferred and forming the image erased of the outer image at the other gradation characteristic to this material to be transferred. CONSTITUTION:The region of an outside edge Wb in a frame W of the original G is assigned as the erasing range for low gradation copying. The region except the region of an inside edge Wa is assigned as the erasing region for high gradation copying. The image from which the image of the region of the outside edge Wb is erased is formed in a memory. Also, the image from which the image except the image in the region of the inside edge Wa is erased is formed in the memory. The image erased of the region of the outside edge Wb is then formed on paper at the low gradation. The image erased of the part except the region of the inside frame Wa is formed on this paper at the high gradation. The image is, therefore, formed at the low gradation in the part of the original G except the range enclosed by the outside edge Wb and the image is formed at the high gradation in the part within the range enclosed by the inside edge Wa. The formation of the easily visible and sharp image is thereby permitted. |
