PURPOSE:To eliminate any trouble of a lock releasing operation at the time of getting off a car by providing an unlocking means for releasing the locked relation between a tongue plate and a buckle which are supported by a seat belt, and operating the unlocking means when an ignition switch is turned off. CONSTITUTION:A tongue plate 2, which is attached to one of the belt end portions of a seat belt 1, and has an engaging hole 4 formed or the front end side thereof, is engaged with a buckle 3 so that the seat belt 1 is kept in the installed state, wherein the buckle 3 is constituted of a buckle body 5, a locking mechanism 6 and an unlocking mechanism 7 serving as an unlocking means. The locking mechanism 6 is provided with a hook member 10 capable of being engaged with the engaging hole 4 of the tongue plate 2, while the unlocking mechanism 7 is provided with a turning member 12 for releasing the engagement of the hook member 10 with the aid of the excitation of a solenoid 13. And, the solenoid 13 is controlled to excite when an ignition switch is turned off. |
