The truck for connecting and supporting a pair of linked rail cars has a forced steering system by which it is maintained radial w.r.t. a curved track during operation. A pin is secured to a bolster connecting a pair of wheeled side frames of the truck. A connecting plate pivotally connects the end of each rail car to the pin. A mechanical linkage is connected between one rail car and the bolster to force the truck to maintain a raidal position with the curved track. The linkage includes a connecting bar between two pairs of bars connected between the opposite ends of te bolster to laterally spaced connections of the rail car. The two pairs of bars force the opposite ends of the bolster to be moved in oposite directions relative to the end of the car when the truck is passing over a curved track.
