PURPOSE:To trace the internal state of a data processor with a proper timing, by providing a trace indicating bit into a microcommand word and carrying out the tracing when the trace indicating bit is logic 1. CONSTITUTION:If the trace indicating bit of the microcommand word that is read out to a microcommand register 104 is logic 1, the contents of thus maintenance information lines 1030, 1031 and 1032 at that moment are written into a trace storage 106 which is addressed by a trace storage address circuit 105. After this, the address in the circuit 105 is advanced. The maintenance information thus stored can be extracted to a maintenance device, etc. via external interfaces 202 and 203 when necessary. |
