PURPOSE:To enable to select and determine dimensions and arrangement of cooling fins without the need for consideration of strength against centrifugal force by providing radiating fins attached to a static side for a radiator of a heat transmission system rotatably through a magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of radiating fins 7 formed radially are attached to an inner surface of an end cover 8 at the outer ends. There are rings 13a and 13b of magnetic steel and a magnet 12 retained by these rings on an inner side surface. A magnetic fluid 14 is injected between the rings 13a and 13b, and a shaft end 1a which has a radiator of heat pipe 11 inside. The magnetic fluid is sustained between the rings 13a and 13b and the shaft end 1a, when a magnetic circuit is formed as shown by a broken line 15 between each of the magnet 12, rings 13a and 13b, and shaft end 1a. Thus the dimensions and arrangement of cooling fins can be selected and determined properly in accordance with cooling characteristics. |
