<p>PURPOSE:To enable an inverter to be continuously operated, by setting one of the synchronizing-signal generating circuits of every inverter, to be a master machine, and by changing another sub-machine over to the master machine when the previous master machine breaks down. CONSTITUTION:When a car A is set to be a master machine, a master machine change-over circuit 10A sends a master machine change-over signal 5A to a relay circuit 4A. A signal 6A from an output circuit is then supplied to a relay circuit 4A, which produces a synchronizing signal 7 and a signal 8A to an input circuit. In the car B of a sub-machine B, the synchronizing signal 7 of the car A is received by a relay circuit 4B as an input signal 8B to an input circuit. If the car A breaks down, then a trouble detecting circuit 11A operates to stop the inverters of all cars. At the same time, the output of the master machine change-over signal 5A is generated, and the relay circuit 4A is turned ON. Besides, the master machine change-over signal 5B is turned OFF, the relay circuit 4B is turned OFF, and the car B becomes the master machine.</p> |
