PURPOSE:To attain the detection of soil moisture at a fixed depth in the ground by indicating the depth with a graduation indicated on the surface of a detecting bar along the longitudinal direction thereof starting from an electrode attached to the lower end of the detecting bar made of an insulative material. CONSTITUTION:The body (b) of a detecting bar B is made of an insulative material such as glass. An electrode 1 is protrusively attached to the lower end of the body (b). The electrode 1 is connected to a connecting terminal 4 provided at the upper end of the body (b) by a lead wie 3 arranged within the body (b). The electrode 1 is formed in an inverted-triangular section to facilitate the insertion of the detecting bar B into soil. Depth marks 2 are graduated on the surface of the body (b) along the longitudinal direction thereof starting from the electrode 1. |
