Low friction coupling for windscreen wiper blade - has plastic moulded insert between wiper arm and blade pivot

The coupling for a windscreen wiper blade has a plastic moulded insert (28) clipped over the pivot bar (24) of the blade assembly, with the hooked end of the wiper arm (10) clipped over the insert. The insert has side flanges to locate the wiper arm with raised stops (56) for a minimum contact area with the arm. The insert is sprung to grip the pivot bar and has a sprung tag end (30) to locate in the securing cut-out in the wiper arm. The insert provides a rattle free coupling with a minimum of friction.
