PURPOSE:To enable measurement to be performed even if a rotating body starts rotation from an arbitrary position, by a method wherein the distance between a rotational-position detecting plate and a distance detector is made to change in accordance with the rotation of the rotating body, and the rotational position is detected from said change in distance. CONSTITUTION:A rotational-position detecting plate 9 intermittently rotates in the direction of an arrow B, and the distance between the rotational-position detecting plate 9 and a distance detector 12 changes interruptedly. Cosequently, the inductance of a coil 14 changes interruptedly, and also the oscillation frequency of a rectangular wave oscillating circuit connected with the coil 14 changes. From said frequency, the rotational position can be detected. |
