PURPOSE:To discriminate whether the recording and reproducing information is on the concentrical circle track or the spiral track, and to smoothly execute the recording and reproduction, by detecting the variation extent of driving voltage of the tracking mirror, and controlling the shifting motor of the optical head. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a means for detecting the variation extent of driving voltage (c) of a tracking mirror 7 provided on an optical head 4 which is shifted relatively against a recording disk 1, and a shifting motor 12 of the head 4 is controlled by its output (h). And, when the variation extent of driving voltage (c) of the mirror 7 has exceeded the specified value as the track of reproduced information is shifted from the spiral track to the concentrical circle track, or vice versa, the shifting motor 12 which is being driven is stopped, and that which has been stopped is driven. |
