PURPOSE:To prevent bleeding and fogging of an image and scattering of a toner by incorporating a polymer obtained by aqueous emulsion polymerization in the presence of a reactive surfactant and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains the polymer obtained by aqueous emulsion polymerization in the presence of the reactive surfactant and the colorant. The toner thus obtained can omit the rinse and removal step of an emulsion, by freed of hygroscopicity by the absence of the emulsifier in the polymer, also freed of deterioration in chargeability, and freely controlled in the electrification quantity of the toner, thus permitting the obtained toner to be prevented from bleeding and fogging of an image and from scattering. |
