<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liquid having excellent discharging stability, shelf stability and printed image characteristics (density, definition, water resistance, light resistance), by blending, as a recording agent, a water-soluble yellow dye and a yellow pigment in combination. CONSTITUTION:A mixt. of a water-soluble yellow dye (a) (e.g. C.I. Direct Yellow 8) and a yellow pigment (b) (e.g. C.I. Pigment Yellow 1) in a weight ratio of 10:1-1:10, is used as a recording agent, both dye and pigment being represented by CIE standard chromaticity diagram within dominant wavelength: 570+ or -20nm, excitation purity: 78+ or -5% and brightness: 84+ or -5%. 1-20wt% (based on the total amount of recording liquid) above recording agent (A), a high-molecular dispersant (B) (e.g. polyvinyl alcohol having a MW of 1,000-100,000) and water (C) (which may be used together with a water-miscible org. solvent such as ethylene glycol), are blended together. The mixt. is adjusted so as to give a viscosity of 1-20cps to produce a yellow recording liquid.</p> |
