PURPOSE:To detect abnormality in real time by simulating how the value of the internal register of a target microprocessor sampled by a microprocessor internal register readout means is changed. CONSTITUTION:The muP internal register readout means 3 switches the connection of an address data bus 5 to muP and then a muP internal register value is saved. Then, the address data bus 5 is connected to the side of a target memory and the operation of the target muP is restarted. Then the muP instruction tracing means 4 samples the execution instruction in the target muP2 which is executed after the muP internal register value is fetched. A simulating means 6 simulates how the muP internal register value is changed according to the sampled instruction. Consequently, the transition of the internal register value is estimated.
