PURPOSE:To compress metallic scrap waste efficiently by compressing the same with small compressive force in the initial stage to reduce the volume rapidly, and compressing slowly with large compressive force as compression advances and the volume becomes small. CONSTITUTION:Two-way hydraulic cylinder 16 is operated synchronously and the longer arm piece 8 of the arm frame 7 is turned upward by turning the shorter arm piece 9 downward. By this the compression plate 3 is pulled up, and metallic scrap waste is placed on the bed board 1. Next, the shorter arm piece 9 is synchronized and pushed upward and the longer arm piece 8 is synchronized and turned downward by changing the direction of action of the hydraulic cylinder 16. Then, the tip of the longer arm piece 8 pushes the compression plate 3 downward while sliding in the direction of both ends of the compression plate 3 to compress the metallic scrap waste. By adjusting the moving speed of the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder 16 the compressive force of the compression plate 3 is made weak in the initial stage, and made strong as compression advances. |
