<p>A reversible belt conveyor for charging sheets of natural or synthetic leather into the gap between a stationary die and a moving heated die of a press consists of a 1m long endless belt on both sides of the press. The conveyors first pass the 2-3m long sheet right through the press and stop. The sheet is prevented from slipping off by a clamping roll, applied to the rear belt. The belts are then reversed and move the sheet back by the amt. which the press can handle. The forward and stepped-back movements are actuated either by push button or automatically. This saves the second operator and requires a min. of floor space.</p> |
