The pressure roller, bearing against the output roller of the drawing machine for a ring spinner, has a sprung spherical movement on a slide. There is at least one adjustable guide on the lower output roller. The design ensures that the pressure roller uses its whole length against the lower roller, with the least space from the upper roller, when setting up after a yarn break. There is a guide on each side of the pressure roller with a curved form matching one of the curvatures of the lower output roller. The pressure roller is held by a mounting on a ball joint, in which the spherical mounting of the slide is held by a spring.
