<p>The cycle frame (1) has a tapped hole (6). The derailleur arm (2), together with the spacers (3,4) and a friction washer (5), are assembled onto a fixing screw (7) which has a hexagonal drive socket (9). The screw also has an internally threaded hole (11) with a bellmouthed opening (15) at the opposite end. Four equi-spaced slots (13) are cut into the threaded portion. A locking nut (14), with an internal hexagonal drive socket (17) and having a tapered profile (16) to notch the bellmouth, is screwed into the internal thread of the screw (7). When the assembly is screwed into the frame (1) the final locking is achieved by tightening the locking nut.</p> |
