摘要 <p>The machine tool point to point positioning system incorporates a speed control facility that maintains the table feed rate to suit a specific characteristic. The system uses a fast approach rate until a specific distance from the required end point is reached. A reduction in speed is made to a final approach rate that is consistent with obtrusively the end position without overshoot. Speed measurement is made by a linear scale (MW) that generates pulses (i) that are counted to provide speed (VM) and position data (PZ). A processor (AR) calculates change points based upon programmed data (PVW). A comparator checks (VS) the command values against actual position values to control the changedown.</p>
