PURPOSE:To realize a high degree of connection without increasing the number of coupling holes, by securing a connection between the narrow wall surfaces of two pieces of waveguides by providing a plural number of coupling holes and then reducing the width of the wide wall surfaces for the waveguide near these coupling holes. CONSTITUTION:The main waveguide 11 and the secondary waveguide 12 are adhered to each other at their narrow wall surfaces, and the coupling hole row 13 is provided on this surface of adhesion to secure a connection between the waveguides 11 and 12. Then the metallic block 14 is provided within the waveguide 12 to reduce the width of the wide wall surface for the waveguide 12 near the row 13. Thus the degree of connection is increased by reducing the width of the wide wall surface. Then a dense connection is obtained for a directional coupler without increasing the number of coupling holes, thus reducing the measurements of the directional coupler. |
