PURPOSE:To enhance the printing quantity of a black bar, by a method wherein, in the printing of first one dot of the bar set parallel to heating elements, the drive of printing paper is stopped once and only the appropriate part is written twice. CONSTITUTION:In the simultaneous crosswise printing of four sections 1-4; a thermal head 10 is heat-generated with a feed motor 11 stopped, the head 10 is turned OFF once, the motor 11 is driven after a predermined time elapsed to to make the thermal head 10 generate heat with the travel of a label, and a black bar for one dot is completed. Namely, at the start of the writing of the black bar, the bar is written twice; in this manner, the irregularities in prior arts prevented from occurring. In the sections 2,3, the thermal head 10 and the feed motor 11 are simultaneously kept ON, whereby the bar is written one time. Additionally, in the printing of a last dot, only a printing command is issued with the feed motor 11 stopped, which prevented the crosswise bar from trailing. |
