The invention provides binders comprising a product of the condensation of a) formaldehyde and b) urea, melamine or phenolic compounds or urea and melamine, where part of component b) has been replaced by a corresponding molar amount of an acrylamide and/or bisarylamide. The binders, into which a peroxide which effects initiation of a polymerisation reaction at the acrylic groups may have been incorporated, are used industrially for the production of sheets based on cellulose materials. |
