<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the discharge side piping of a solenoid pump by communicating an air vent with the upstream end on an of-off valve provided in the pump discharge path and providing an air vent mechanism for effecting air vent by opening the on-off valve when the upstream pressure becomes lower than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:Liquid fuel is discharged by pump action from a pump chamber 2 through a discharge valve 5 to a discharge port 6. If air is mixed in the liquid fuel, the pressure at the discharge port 6 is low, and an on-off valve 27 remains closed. Thus, air is discharged through an air vent passage 30 to the top of the interior of a fuel tank 4. When air on the upstream side of the on-off valve 27 in the discharge port 6 is almost completely purged, the pressure in this part is now above a predetermined pressure. Thus, the on-off valve 27 is moved to the left to open the discharge port 6 and close the air vent passage 30. With the air vent mechanism assembled in the solenoid pump in this way, it is possible to reduce the size of a liquid fuel combustion apparatus having an solenoid pump.</p> |
