<p>The stirring arm for a domestic food mixing machine is hook shaped overall and made from a hollow tube (10) over nearly its full length, with a solid pin (15) inserted in the top. The tube is reinforced by a rod through its hollow interior. At the top, which is formed by a straight section (11) the tube is hexagonal in cross section, and the section of the reinforcing rod is circular. Below this, the tube slopes outwards, and is used in cross section, and then bends inwards again. At the bottom, the return band is double lobed in cross section, with a central groove, and each lobe is reinforced by a wire. The pin has a spherical head (14) at the top to form a push fit in a hollow ended drive shaft.</p> |
