<p>The system uses vehicles fed along transport paths without any intersection points, the traffic flow being controlled by a integrated computer system. The wave pattern distances maintaining effect of the linear motor transducer field is used to maintain the vehicles at a small spacing from one another, to enable a high traffic capacity. Pref. the speed variations for the vehicles are obtained by varying the wavelength at specific points along the transport path whilst the frequency of the electrical supply network is held constant. This wavelength variation is obtained by varying the configuration of the stator windings.</p> |
