<p>The connector has a female part formed by two plastics members, one in the form of a box having an opening in one side to receive the male part, and the other in the form of a cover. The cover is pivotable on the box to engage a number of teeth in respective openings in the adjacent box surface, and deform and clamp bared cable wires in the openings. The male part is similarly formed with its cover pivotable in an open topped box (14) to clamp bared cable wires across cooperating openings in the box base wall. When the male part is inserted in the female part with the openings in opposition the bared wires contact one another, contact being assisted by springs in the female part.</p> |
