The cable head is of the type which is mounted on a distribution input and to which are connected external lines and the ends at internal telephone exchange cables. It comprises a plate having an edge carrying connector pins for connection to the exchange switch side, and to various modules. Another edge carries connector pins for connection to telephone lines. A third edge carries a test connector, and a fourth edge has channels for passing conductors connected to the plate. The channels open into the edge opposite to that for the test connector, with the channel edge inclined relative to the other edges to facilitate the introduction of the conductors.
