PURPOSE:To provide a permanent magnet alloy having a composition contg. a rare earth metal, Co, S, etc. and represented by a specified relative formula and showing superior residual magnetic flux density, coercive force and uniform magnetic characteritics. CONSTITUTION:This permanent magnet alloy has a composition represented by the formula (where R is one or more kinds of rare earth elements such as Sm and Co, M is one or more among Ti, Nb, Ta and V, M' is S, 0.01<=x<=0.4, 0.02<=y<=0.25, 0.001<=alpha<=0.15, 0.001<=beta<=0.15 and 6<=A<=8.3). The combined addition of S enables a reduction in the time required for heat treatment. This novel permanent magnet shows about uniform and high magnetic characteristics. |
