PURPOSE:To make it possible to regenerate a tomographic image by projection of a single X-ray, by deriving the X-ray absorption coefficient of picture elements in the fixed virtual section which is formed by picture elements of the same number as the metering frequency of single X-ray projection distribution in plural positions at regular intervals. CONSTITUTION:The X-ray which has penetrated the inspected body B is detected by the X-ray detector C such as the many detectors at regular intervals W or the detector moving at regular speed, etc., and the measuring means E of X-ray projection distribution generates signals dk... of the mn number corresponding to density of a penetrating X-ray at each position of equal intervals W of the single projection distribution. One end signal dk formed by picture elements of the same number mn as the number of the above signals dk makes the plane S passing through the left end of the picture element 1 virtual. The X-ray absorption coefficient of the picture element 1 is calculated based upon the picture element formed by the above-mentioned virtual plane and one end signal dk, and the X-ray absorption coefficient of the picture element 2 is calculated by the following signal dk. When the X-ray absorption of each picture element is decided in the same way as mentioned above, a section image of the detected body B contained in the plane S is regnerated, and a tomographic image can be regenerated and formed easily and exactly by the single X-ray projection. |
