PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator capable of inhibiting formation of sludge. SOLUTION: The oil separator separates oil from blow-by gas by centrifugal force and has a sludge inhibition layer 60 neutralizing acid material for inhibiting formation of sludge formed on an inner wall surface 50f which blow-by gas touches. Nitric acid water accelerating formation of sludge contained in blow-by gas turning in the oil separator is neutralized by forming the sludge inhibition layer formed out of calcium carbonate for neutralizing acid material such as nitric acid water.
