<p>The safety valve is for high temperature fluid-operated systems, and has a housing forming a ring-shaped valve seat for a lever-operated plug. The valve plug (32) has a seal holder (42) which comprises a projecting shoulder (43) on which a plastic sealing ring is so located that it forms the only contact surface between the valve seat and plug when the valve plug is disengaged. The seal holder (42) is removable from the valve plug (32) and its projecting shoulder (43) has a cylindrical outer surface and a ring lip (42) projecting radially over the inner edge of the sealing ring (46) so as to hold the sealing ring firmly on the holder shoulder (43).</p> |
