ONE TRANSISTOR TYPE CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To conduct the flux reset of a transformer by reactive magnetic flux and improve efficiency by a method wherein a capacitor is connected in parallel with a diode for rectification connected at the secondary side of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 2 is turned ON by the action of a drive circuit 3' and a DC power source is fed to a two terminal circuit net 5 with load 53 through a transformer 1 and a diode 4 for rectification from the DC power source E1. A capacitor 71 is connected to both ends of the diode 4. When the transistor 2 is turned OFF, currents by the back electromotive force of the transformer 1 charge the capacitor 71 through the two terminal circuit net 5. The currents are free oscillation currents by the inductance of input winding 1a and the capacitance of the capacitor 71, the diode 4 is conducted when potential at the left side of the capacitor 71 becomes +, and the magnetic energy of the transformer 1 flows through the circuit net 5.
