The ventilator has a number of V shaped air passages, and gutters at the base of these V shaped walls catches rainwater and directs it to the outside of the ventilator frame. The lower part of the air passages are defined by a range of spaced angled deflectors fixed in the frame, the deflectors extending about three quarters of the vertical height of the frame and each being spaced so that each deflector covers vertically about a third of its neighbour. The top part of the air passages end in small holes that are opened or closed for ventilation.
