Clear, stable aminoplast-furan resin binder - contg. furfuryl alcohol and polynuclear phenol glycoside as furan resin

The resin comprises a soln. of an alkali-condensed aminoplast which has opt. been co-condensed with furfuryl alcohol, contg. dissolved furane resin. Pref. the glycoside is present in amt. of 1-10%, w.r.t. the solids content. The clear, storable soln. is used as a binder; the glycoside facilitates the dissolution of alkali-condensed aminoplasts in furfuryl alcohol. Hardening is also more rapid, and less hardener is required.
