Friction false twister - with shaft bearing mounting with axial movement but no free play to reduce oscillation

Fixed bearing for the shafts carrying the friction false twisting discs, is located in the base plate, and the bearing plate slides over the free ends of the shafts. The bearings are positioned in the bearing plate, with free axial movement but allowing little radial oscillation. The design reduces resonant oscillation, on critical rotary speeds, independently of friction disc weights, and oscillation is also reduced on increasing disc imbalance.
