PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to liquid leakage and the performance of a battery by using a sealing agent which is made of a copolymer of a polyolefine for sealing the battery. CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture 3, a negative mixture 4 and a separator 2, which is interposed between these mixtures, are placed in a positive-electrode can 1. The top of the negative mixture 4 is covered by a negative-electrode can 5, with an annular insulating packing 6a interposed between these two cans, to hermetically close the battery, thus constituting a sealed button-type battery. Here, a sealing- agent film 7 which is made of a copolymer of a polyolefine is formed on the surface of the insulating packing 6a of the sealing part, which is in contact with both the positive can 1 and the negative can 5. The sealing-agent film 7 is desirable to be a copolymer which is made from, for example, 25-75wt% of a main component which is a polyolefine such as polyethylene or polypropylene, and not less than one kind of polyolefine other than that which is used as the main component and is contained in the copolymer by 75-25wt%. Furthermore, the thickness of the film 7 is desirable to be not less than 6mu. |
