<p>A glove, especially a working glove, intended to protect the hand at different types of work. A working glove shall constitute an effective protection for the hand providing that at least the palm portion of the glove has to be manufactured from a relatively heavy material. This involves that the hand covered by the glove gets a relatively restricted sensitivity which is a substantial drawback in several types of work. This restricted sensitivity of a hand covered by a working glove can be eliminated to a substantial degree by forming the material of the glove so that the material closely connects with the shape of the palm. In the glove according to the invention there has been provided a better connection of the material of the glove with the shape of the palm by the fact that the seam (24, 84) which connects a palm thumb portion (80) of the glove with the rest of the palm portion (6) of the glove is positioned so that it extends substantially between the thenar muscle and the rest of the palm with the palm thumb portion substantially covering the thenar muscle at the palm side of the hand and that the edge (84) of the palm thumb portion (80) has greater length than the edge (24) of the restof the palm portion (6) before said edges are connected with each other by means of said seam. </p> |
