PURPOSE:To provide a composite displaying function for navigation by a method wherein a chart and other graphic display data are displayed on a transparent plasma display unit and the unit is overlapped on a cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:Chart informations such as the symbol and the speed vector of own ship, the symbols and the speed vectors of other ships and coastlines are displayed on a transparent plasma display unit 6 overlapped on the cathode-ray tube 3a of a radar indicator 3. As for the speed vector of own ship, a computer system 9 calculates the speed vector on the basis of the signals from a gyrocompass 4 and a ship speedometer 5, and displays the result of the calculation on the plasma display unit 6 through a plasma display controller 7. Accordingly, a total display picture for nagigation can be obtained. |
