Sausage loop applicator - feeding preformed loop in path of staple mechanism

A mechanism to combine the closure of a filled sausage skin with the attachment of a suspension hook consists of an attachment to the conventional staple applicator. A ring with an extended shank is fed from a funnel which terminates in a curve to a horizontal section in the path of the staple. The staple is thus formed around the shank and the end of the sausage skin. This is a simple device which is esp. suitable for smaller establishments and saves manual labour.
