The transmitter makes use of linear conductors laid between the rails, inductively coupled to an aerial on a passing railway car or train. The conductor is laid in the track centre on sections without switch points. In the switch point region, starting with the switch frog and ending at each point of switch point rails abutment onto straight rails, two line conductors are provided in parallel and linear configuration. The conductor spacing is so chosen that the induced voltage, due to the resulting magnetic field in an aerial mounted in the railway vehicle centre corresponds to the induced voltage of the field of the conductors, each having the same current supply. In the frog section the two conductors are laid symmetrically in a given spacing. One of the two conductors is connected to that laid in the straight section. The vehicle aerial is formed by a choke coil with a ferrite core.
