摘要

PURPOSE:To raise the initial discharge rate and enhance the performance after the preservation by the use of electrolytic maganese dioxide with the addition of lead or lead compound in it as an active material in the positive electrode of a lithium battery. CONSTITUTION:Electrolytic manganese dioxide with the addition of a small amount of lead or a lead compound is employed as an active material in the positive electrode of a battery, in which lithium is used as an active material in a negative electrode and a mixture solution of propylene carbonate and lithium perchlorate and so on as an electrolyte. The additioning amount of lead or a lead compound based on manganese dioxide desirably should be 0.2-5% by weight. And furthermore, lead powder as lead and lead carbonate as a lead compound desirably should be employed.
