Proposed is a fuze, in particular a hand-grenade fuze, with a tubular housing (6) which contains a detonating cap (8) below which is located a pyrotechnic delay charge (11) and, below the delay charge, a detonator (12, 13) which is displaced by a propulsive force from the "safe" position to the "live" position. The delay charge (11) is fitted in an inner tube (10) mounted concentrically inside the tubular fuze housing (6). The detonator (12, 13) is mounted on the lower end of the inner tube (10) which can be displaced longitudinally inside the tubular fuze housing (6). The outside wall of the inner tube (10) holding the delay charge (11) is hermetically sealed with respect to the inside wall of the fuze housing (6), and the detonating cap (8) plus cap container (7) is also hermetically sealed in the fuze housing, so that, when the delay charge (11) burns, the gas pressure in the space (21) above the delay charge (11) builds up to the extent that the pressure produces a displacement of the inner tube (10) holding the delay charge (11), plus the detonator (12, 13), in the fuze housing (6) so that the detonator (12, 13) moves out of the "safe" position into the "live" position. |
