PURPOSE:To improve design by fixing a recess for containing a mirror and a retractable rear underview mirror at the rear end section of roof of a box type automobile, and containing the mirror in the recess when it is not used while projecting the mirror when it is used thereby enabling confirmation of lower rear section. CONSTITUTION:A rear spoiler 10 is arranged laterally at rear end section of the roof 2 of a box type automobile such as bus, wagon vehicle and the like, where a portion thereof is recessed to contain a rear under view mirror 3 retractably through a drive mechanism. The rear under view mirror 3 comprises an outer wall 12 which will be flush with the rear spoiler 10 when the mirror is contained, a remote control unit 15, a holder 14 and a mirror face 13 and retractable into the recess through a drive mechanism comprising pulleys 37, 38 and a timing belt 39 so as to enable confirmation of lower rear section. The mirror is contained in the recess when it is not used and integrated with the spoiler thus improving design performance. |
