Sieve grid which comprises an upper part (I) and a trough-like perforated lower part (II) which is provided on the inside with friction strips is designed to tip up when required to allow easy access to and thus removal of the residue. Emptying height can be controlled by selecting the height of the tilt axis which is of special importance when emptying into a container or the like. The sieve upper part (I) can be provided on its tip-up side with console brackets to take axial bearing elements and on the side of the grid with stationary bearing blocks into which the bearing elements can be fitted.
