<p>PURPOSE:In a master cylinder used for a clutch pedal, to improve the sense of clutch operation by making the pedal depressing position closer to the normal depressing position with a center valve provided with a valve body. CONSTITUTION:When a clutch pedal is released from its position, in which a valve seat 43a is seated on an end face 2d to cut communication between a thrusting chamber 1b and reservior, to a position, in which the valve seat 43 is floating from the end face 2d, although there is a residual pressure in the thrusting chamber 1b, a back portion 43b of valve 43, which is an integral sack, opposes the valve seat 43a and is preventing it from being pushed out toward the end face 2d with a reaction force 43e produced due to a moment of arrow 43d acting upon the valve seat 43a in the peripheral direction thereof caused by the residual pressure while the valve seat 43a is still seated on the end face 2d. Thus, it is possible to reliably obtain communication and thus permit depressing and releasing operations in positions close to each other, thus permitting the improvement of the sense of clutch operation.</p> |
