<p>The face of the probe contains a point electrode in the centre surrounded but insulated from a ring electrode. These two electrodes enable an electrical measurement to be taken. Attached to the rear of the point electrode is a temp. sensitive resistor enabling a measurement to be taken at the same point on the skin. To enable accurate temp. measurements to be taken despite the thermal interference of the probe body, an electrical heater is included in the probe to enable it to be thermostatically controlled. Holes in the outer surface of the ring electrode and between the two electrodes enable a free circulation of air.</p> |
