PURPOSE:To enable an easy rustproof treatment, by a method wherein the main ingredient of a two-fluid solventless type thermoplastic rustproof material and a hardner are separately coated by spraying on a joined portion, and the portion so joined is then heated, where panels for door are assembled in such a manner as a plurality of members gather together. CONSTITUTION:Where a subject method is adopted in a door assembling line, a door outer panel 72 is conveyed to a rustproof agent applying process provided with an automatic spraying system 4 through a deadener applying process. The spraying system is equipped with sprayers 20 at 3 sides. Each of said sprayers 20 has a pair of spray guns 21a and 21b and is slidable along a guide bar 19. The spray guns 21a and 21b are connected to storage tanks 10a and 10b for the main ingredient of a thermoplastic material and a hardener, respectively, the said materials being applied by spraying in order on a seaming portion of the panel 72 when it is conveyed to be positioned in place. After the panels whereon the rustproof agent is applied are assembled into a complete door, the rustproof material is hardened when annealing takes place after undercoating is completed. |
