A radial carcass tubeless pneumatic tyre for a vehicle wheel rim with seats inclined at 15 DEG when inflated but not loaded, has the mean meridian fibre of its carcass reinforcement following the natural equilibrium profile, between the points of tangency of the reinforcement with the beadwire and the crown reinforcement, so that cos phi = R<2>-Rel<2>/Rsl<2>-R2el<2> the quantity (Rsl<2>-Rel<2>) being approximately equal to K p0/pI (RSO<2> -Reo<2>), po being the nominal inflation pressure and pI the inflation pressure such that the tyre keeps the deflection of the nominal tyre under the effect of an overload, k being a positive coefficient between 1 and the value of the ratio pI/po, the angle beta I formed by the tangent to the carcass reinforcement at the point of contact with the beadwire and by the rotation axis of the tyre being such that sin beta I = sind beta o/k and the quantity Rel<2> being equal to Rt<2>-cos beta I (Rsl<2>-Rel<2>). <IMAGE>
